Budget 2026 | Edmonds Judd Securing New Zealand’s future says the Minister of Finance Despite pre-Budget announcements for the health, education and defence sectors, this Budget certainly contained some meaty content. 🎨 Meet Jaymee, one of our talented team members with a passion for watercolour painting.
When she's not at work, you'll often find Jaymee with a paintbrush in hand, creating beautiful pieces using watercolours. What she loves most about the medium is its versatility and the ability to build depth and detail through layers, gradually working from the lightest shades to the darkest tones.
Watercolour painting gives Jaymee the opportunity to experiment with colour, create unique patterns, and bring her creativity to life. Whether she's carefully blending colours or focusing on intricate details, she enjoys the process just as much as the finished artwork.
For Jaymee, painting is more than just a hobby—it's a chance to slow down, unwind, and express her creativity.
As Jaymee says, "Watercolour painting is a great way to relax and have some fun."

🎲 Meet John Whyte, one of our Solicitors and a proud self-confessed nerd!
Outside of the office, John is an active member of the Waikato Role Playing Guild, where imagination takes centre stage. Roleplaying games are a unique blend of board games, improvisational theatre, storytelling, and fantasy, allowing players to step into entirely different worlds and characters.
These photos capture just a few of John's adventures – from playing a wealthy socialite from the 1920s, to a secret agent inspired by classic spy comedies, to a heroic barbarian from the frozen north.
John has been heavily involved in the roleplaying community for many years, including managing the Guild’s finances and helping organise New Zealand’s largest roleplaying convention, Convergence, held each September in Hamilton.
For John, the greatest part of the hobby isn't the dragons, spies, or epic quests – it's the friendships he's made along the way.
As John puts it: "Nothing makes you appreciate the joys of your own life quite like pretending to overcome someone else's imaginary problems."
