And that’s a wrap on the 2025/26 season!
It’s crazy looking back on how much we’ve done this season. We’ve raced at Rotorua, Baypark, Whanganui, Huntly, Wellington, Gisborne, Taipa, Auckland, and Waharoa, and every track has had its own challenges and good memories.
We’ve travelled 5,162 km this season. Safe to say we’ve spent a lot of time on the road, but it’s all been worth it to race at so many awesome tracks and meetings.
We also attended 7 championships ! We went to the Wellington Capital Cup, Oceanview 5000 (Whanganui), Future of Speedway (Huntly), Rotorua Easter Champs, Waharoa Teams, Gisborne 1200, and Gisborne 100, placing 3rd at Easter champs, 2nd at Waharoa teams, and 3rd consolation at Gisborne 1200. Some of the results weren’t always what we were hoping for, but every meeting taught us something and gave us more experience to take into next season.
My favorite track to race at so far would have to be Gisborne and Wellington. My favorite meeting was definitely Taipa Kings Birthday weekend and Wellington Capital Cup.
A couple of weeks back we went to Waharoa Speedway prizegiving. It was great to catch up with everyone and we were lucky enough to receive Competitors choice best presented youth ministock, along with a Girls Ministock Challange 3rd place trophy and a certificate for representing the Waharoa team.
A massive thank you to everyone who has helped us this season. To my family, crew, sponsors, friends, and everyone who has supported us along the way, whether it was in the shed, at the track, or from home, we couldn’t do it without you.
The season might be over, but we’re already looking ahead. My main goal for next season is to tick off every Speedway New Zealand track in the North Island. We’ve only got 3 more to go ! It’ll be a lot more travelling, but we’re excited for the challenge and can’t wait to race at even more tracks.
Thanks to everyone who made this season one to remember. We’ve got big things coming for the 26/27 season so make sure you follow us along the way. With these big changes ahead of us, we are always looking for new sponsors to help us get to where we want to be. Time to enjoy a bit of a break, and get ready to do it all again !

Taipa Kings Birthday Weekend 🏁 (Apologies for the very late post)
On Friday we made the long drive all the way up to Taipa to race the 2-day Kings Birthday meeting for the first time.
There were 3 ministock groups: Kings, Queens, and Prince/Princesses. I was in the Queens group alongside a bunch of fast and talented girls. It was so much fun racing with some of my closest friends for the last hit out of the season.
Day 1
Race 1:
Started grid 9 and dropped back a bit as I wasn’t used to the track and had to find some good race lines. Not too sure where I finished.
When I came in, we noticed oil all over the inside of my car coming from the gearbox. We fixed that problem, but when we went to test it, we found it was stuck in gear with no way of getting it out. Huge thanks to Marcus Pinder for helping us make a new driveshaft, and Tony Coxhead for letting us cut up his driveshaft to try get me back out there.
At that point, we thought our weekend was over until Kris Hume and Ministock 23R (Blair Hume) kindly offered Blair’s car for the rest of the weekend. The biggest thank you goes to you guys — we appreciate it more than you know.
Race 2:
Started grid 11 and had a fast race, making up a few spots. Can’t remember exactly where I finished, but I was really happy with that race.
Race 3:
Started grid 13 and had another clean, fast race, finishing 4th.
That wrapped up Day 1 — starting with bad luck but finishing on a high and ready to head back out for Day 2!
Day 2
Race 1:
Started grid 15 and unfortunately got spun out, but carried on and managed to make back a few spots. Unsure on finishing position.
Race 2:
It was raining for this race and had been for a while beforehand too, making the track super slippery and hard to drive on. I started grid 1 but unfortunately got spun out right at the start again. Also unsure where I finished.
Unfortunately, the rain won and the meeting got called off.
Overall, it was an incredible experience and it was awesome catching up with everyone before the off-season began.
A massive thank you to Fredo, Ash, and Taipa Speedway for making this weekend one of the best.
And finally, to Ministock114R and Zarea Paretovich-Wright — we are so proud of everything you’ve achieved over the years. I’m going to miss racing with you guys, but it was so special getting one last hit out together 💜🏁
A huge thanks to our sponsors who make a lot of this possible.

It was an early start on Friday morning as we hit the road and headed down to Gisborne for the 1200!
It was my first time racing in Seniors, so I was definitely a bit nervous at first, but that feeling went away pretty quickly. As always, Gisborne Awapuni Speedway put on an awesome meeting and it still remains one of my favourite tracks.
Race 1
Started Grid 11. Had a clean race but dropped a few places while trying to get the feel for the track again, and the car setup wasn’t quite right. Finished 16th.
Race 2
Started Grid 1. Didn’t get the best start and ended up getting half spun right off the line. Had to work hard to gain those places back and finished 13th.
Race 3
Started Grid 21 and got a really good start, making up a few spots early until there was a pile-up in Turn 4. Unfortunately, after thinking I had avoided it, another car came across the infield and we got tangled up. That was a DNF for us.
Once we got back to the pits, we found the motor had pushed forward into the radiator cracking and bending both engine mounts shattered the fan, pulled the drive shaft out of the gear box and snapping the gearbox mount and to top it off wrapping a corner of my bumper.
At that point we thought our weekend was over, until some amazing people stepped in to help get us back on track for Day 2.
So it was another early morning as we headed to a workshop kindly offered to us by the Kingi family.
A massive thank you to Steven, Ricky, and the Kingi family for giving up your time to help get the car fixed and me back out there. We appreciate you guys heaps!
the car was repaired and we were back at the track for Night 2.
Because of the DNF, I was racing in the Senior Consolation group.
Race 1
Started Grid 9 and had a clean, fast race finishing 5th.
Race 2
Started Grid 4 and had another strong race, finishing 2nd.
Race 3
Started Grid 5 and got a great start, making some clean passes and working my way up to 2nd. Crossed the finish line almost neck and neck with the leader.
With those results, I ended up 3rd overall in the Consolation group.
Overall, it was a pretty good weekend with plenty of entertainment, good racing, and catching up with close friends.
Huge thank you to all of our sponsors — we couldn’t do this without you!

Saturday we headed all the way up to Waikaraka for the first time on the new track. It was a fast, big, and different track, but definitely one I enjoyed.
🏁 Race 1:
Started grid 9 and had a good start to move up and hold 5th. Yellows came on because of a crash, and unfortunately when the greens came back out I found myself with a flat outside front tyre, resulting in a DNF.
🏁 Race 2:
Started grid 14 and worked my way up to 9th before another yellow came out. Once we went green again the car didn’t seem to be running right, so I ended up finishing 13th.
Unfortunately with these results I didn’t qualify for the 15 lapper, but I’m still happy with how I drove when things did go to plan.
On Sunday we headed over to Waharoa for their final meeting of the season. I was racing in the A & B mixed group.
🏁 Race 1:
Started grid 1 and led the whole race until the last lap. I gave it a bit too much gas coming in, which allowed another car to get past me. Still managed to hold onto 2nd place. Congrats to Jade for taking the win!
🏁 Race 2:
Started grid 6 and had a clean, fast race to finish 4th.
Unfortunately the track team had to make the decision to cut the Ministocks’ last race because we were running out of time in the day.
Since we only had 2 races they didn’t do points for us, but I did receive a Ref’s Choice certificate.
🎟️🎟️🎟️RAFFLE WINNER!!!🎟️🎟️🎟️
While we were at Waharoa we also went live and did our raffle draw. Big congratulations to our winner Donna Murphy! Thank you to everyone who bought tickets and supported me.
Next meeting will be in Gisborne on Friday and Saturday for the Ministock 1200 🔥🏁

Easter champs
(Apologies for the very late post)
On the 4th of April, we headed to Paradise Valley Speedway for the Easter Champs after many rainouts. Juniors and seniors raced together but points were done separately.
Race 1:
Started from grid 8 and had a clean, fast run, finishing 8th and coming home as the first junior across the line.
Race 2:
Started from grid 20 and focused gaining positions and getting the car off the track in one piece. Finished 15th overall and 6th in the juniors.
Race 3:
Started from grid 8 again but had some contact and struggled a bit with the cars handling, dropping back to finish 15th overall and 6th in the juniors again.
With these results, I finished 3rd overall on the junior podium with 45 points.
It was a great way to wrap up the race season at Paradise Valley Speedway.
Congratulations to all the other podium finishers, especially my good friend Grace Stewart for taking out 2nd place.
And we cant forget about the sponsors that make it all happen

Last night we were in Rotorua for memorial champs night. It was a fun night with some fast racing and good competition.
R1: Started grid 8 and had a clean race to finish in 2nd.
R2: Started grid 17 and got tangled up with some cars off the start and unfortunately got sent to the infield so dnf for that one.
R3: Started grid 2, had a great start and kept consistent the whole race to take out the win.
Finished 9th overall with 51 points over 2 races.
Today we are at Waharoa Speedway for hopefully a good day racing!
Thanks to all my sponsors we couldn't do this without you!
