As a clinically trained art therapist, I use guided creative techniques to support you in exploring challenging feelings and experiences, regulating emotions, and developing new coping strategies in a safe and supportive environment.

I love these cards from PΕ«kenga Psychology - karakia for different spaces and times... Such a beautiful resource
As much as I'd love to bring my entire studio to all my clients, that's just not possible so this is what I bring instead - a little sample of everything!
Being able to bring art therapy off-site makes this service more accessible to the people who need it. If you or your child/teen need support but can't make it to my office, let's connect π

You don't need fancy materials to explore, release, or create. Start with what you have - big stories can come from the smallest things.
What's something simple around you that you could create with today? ποΈπππ€Έπ§΅
I've spent the last couple of weeks setting up a brand new studio!
I'm so excited to continue working with you as you create, explore, heal, and get curious in a lighter, brighter, bigger space! πͺπͺ΄π¨

This week has been Creative Arts Therapy Week! π
While it's still quite niche in Aotearoa NZ, I love that it's quickly becoming more widely recognised.
Here are 7 reasons why art therapy might be right for you or your child/teen (one for every day of CAT week π)
Does the clean-up after a session sometimes take longer than usual? Sure π
But that's completely fine, because what came out of that mess might have been an 'a-ha' moment, or your first time exploring something really hard, or a moment of peace amid the chaos.
To see if art therapy might help you or your child/teen, reach out π

A bit of a late post, but last month I attended Rotorua Business Chamber's Women in Business event at the stunning Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa.
Being in such a beautiful space, connecting with other wΔhine who are passionate about what they do was so much fun. Hearing everyone's stories and how they ended up doing what they love was inspiring and I really can't wait for the next event! π«
When they hear "art therapy" for the first time, most people assume all we do is draw pictures, but in the studio we're not limited to any particular material or modality.
Here's a few of the things I've been loving using with clients lately π¨β¨

Stillness or movement? Sometimes healing happens in quiet pauses, and sometimes it happens through motion and expression. Your body often knows what it needs before words do. In therapy, both are welcome, both are valid, and youβre allowed to change your mind as the session goes on. What would you choose?

A big myth that keeps a lot of people from getting help...
Worrying about being judged is incredibly common. Truth is, therapy isn't about finding your flaws or magnifying past mistakes. It's about being met with curiosity, care, and respect. It's a space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without needing to perform or prove yourself.
Just show up as you are, and we'll take the next step together.
