We say farewell to Lucas who has now headed back over the ditch with his family.
Thank you to all that have supported both myself (and Lucas) during this past year and I look forward to helping you from 5th January 2026 when I come out of hibernation!

Due to demand and how life is a continuous juggle for many, Lucas is now going to be working on a Saturday morning.

Meet Lucas, my new colleague who is joining me from next week on Fridays. All bookings still come through me via text/calls or can be done online.

Here is his very own introduction …..

Hi, my name is Lucas, I am an osteopath and I’m excited to join Kate and work with this lovely community. My family and I have relocated here from the west coast of Auckland where I’ve been based for the last seven years. I am an avid surfer and a keen Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner.

I first became interested in osteopathy after a surfing accident in Western Australia. I had injured my neck and head on the reef, and once I had the stitches out I saw an osteopath on the advice of a friend. It was so helpful I decided right then that that was what I wanted to do as a profession. Since then I married my amazing wife and had two kids, and we’re now expecting a third. This year we have moved to Rotorua to be closer to my wife’s whanau and to allow her to connect more strongly to her Maori roots here.

I very much look forward to working and living in this area, we have lived here in the past and know full well what an active, vibrant area it is for people who want to enjoy their beautiful Kiwi lifestyle.

If you’ve tried to get hold of me this week you would know I’ve been away. But we’ve said ‘Bula’ for the last time and are heading home. I’ll be replying to any messages tonight or in the morning before I start work, bright and early 🙂

It’s been 5 years since I was in NYC running the marathon. Today the family and I are heading back there, this time to support my husband who is doing the race. I’ll be back in clinic Monday 13th November 😊

I’ve escaped the winter for the next week. It will be business as usual from Monday 10th July 🍹🏝️☀️

Today I’m hopping over the ditch to go for a little run. I’ll be back in clinic on Tuesday. Here’s hoping we all have good weather this weekend 😊

Over the next 2 weeks the clinic will only be open Tue-Thur so I get to spend time with my chocolate munching children. Happy Easter to you all, have a good break 🐣🐰
