🛠️ Today’s Tech Fix

One of my church mates contacted me because they kept receiving Norton security notifications, even though Norton wasn’t installed on their laptop.

After checking the installed programs, I confirmed there was no Norton application on the computer. I then investigated further and found that the notifications were actually browser push notifications from a website the user had previously allowed to send alerts—not malware or antivirus software.

✅ Removed the unwanted browser notification permission.
✅ Stopped the annoying pop-ups.
✅ Verified the computer was functioning normally.

Sometimes what looks like a virus is simply a browser setting that needs to be corrected. If your computer keeps showing unwanted pop-ups or notifications, feel free to get in touch.
