Results from the NZSCA 8 hour Saloon teams Enduro held at WSCC on 01 March 2025.
The WOT team of Chris Steve and Allan Tucker won from a very fast Rainbow 🌈 team of Paul, Russell, Tim Fellows and young fast Adam Bidwell . Rainbow lead easily for the first 5 heats, but the fast driving Adam incurred really high tyre wear that had Paul scrambling through his box of tyres to find a solution on the track that was getting grippier ( is that a word?) as the race evolved.
The Blazers team of Eben, , Alex and Paul came in 3rd after they unfortunately chose to start their one hour stint on green., and it meant that they trailblazed the clean track for the other teams until they got back to orange that had been runbered up by Rainbow in the first stint.
The Westroc team being Nigel, Andrew , Ivan Bailey and Rob came a distant 4th.
They had a few issues with the car just popping out and while that had the super fast and grippy NSR rubber, the delamination off the hub causing bad vibrations..
Two teams ran the Hyundai and two ran the Tesla body.
It was a hot day with a lot of hot action, a visitor observed that " you guys don't come off the teck while you are racing".
Maybe we are just driving slower these days.

An overview of the Open Eurosport 24th scale class held at the NZSCA Nationals on 25 August 2024.
A wide variety of BL cars and a few straps.
Paul Belchambers got a solid second with his brushed ( old school) motor to Chris Dillon with his exotic BL setup..
Eben had his own BL development and Steve Murch manufactured several 1103 (red) packages that went very well.

b) Open Eurosport. ( Featuring a mix of Strap ( Paul Bechambers) and various BLDC setups.

NZSCA Nationals F-1 results, congratulations to Chief Dillon, Paul Bechambers & Eben Brand for their podium positions.

The 2024 NZSCA Nationals are this weekend at the WSCC in Porirua.
18 entries, 6 classes over the weekend.
The first class is F-1 , a 4500 kV Brushless motor In a JK chassis, fixed gear ratio, 9:36 and specified rear axle height.
Entries include racers travelling from Auckland, Taranaki, Hamilton, Blenheim, Motueka and Christchurch.
Qualification first, then 3 heats.
3 minutes per lane X 8 lanes.
The winner is the most laps covered in 24 minutes.

Scrutineering is now underway for our first class of racing at the 2024 NZ 1/24 Nationals - F1, due to start in 25 minutes
