The Rimini Bed by Ercol pairs a smooth chamfered planked headboard in pale oak with softly turned legs, creating a tranquil focal point for the bedroom. Flowing lines and gentle curves define its contemporary character in light oak, while the sculpted headboard motif is echoed by two planks at the base for a balanced, harmonious silhouette.

Ercol’s heritage of honest British craftsmanship underpins the bed’s refined detailing and timeless appeal. Create a beautifully cozy bedroom feeling with Ercol, exclusively available from Good Form.

Milled from one solid piece of European ash wood, the Måne Wooden Bowl is Anderssen and Voll's version of the tripod vessel found as numerous variations in ancient cultures all over the world. Inspired by this traditional vessel, the award-winning design duo also drew on playful references in the development of the bowl – "Måne is the Norwegian word for moon. There is something about a wooden bowl that makes us think of red apples. Red apples makes us think of scrumping. And scrumping makes us think of the moon. The space defined by the curvy underside of the bowl and the table top is the beauty of this object – a play of light and shadow." The Nedre Foss range is available from Good Form.

The 'Mondo' Pendant lamp by Antonio Facco for Oblure, has a classic soul combined with contemporary ambitions. The design consists of four steel shades mounted in overlapping pairs. This allows a vast interaction with the lamp, offering an infinite dialogue.

The Italian design combines a planetary physical image with an abstract concept of originality programmed by the beholder. The ability to customise its shape gives the option of casting different geometric shadows to suit different moods and interiors. Oblure lighting is available from Good Form.

Sharing a few highlights from Makers Market Edition 2.0 in March with pieces by Auckland designer Matt Coldicutt. Our collaborative presentation featured a Dilana rug by the late designer Avis Higgs, which felt sympathetic to Matt's work which uses reclaimed Kauri timber.

Matt Coldicutt is a furniture maker and sculptor based in Tāmaki Makaurau working under the name of rough.house.project.

His practice investigates the ecologies of urban development and convoluted social-spatial crisis and seeks to find balance through restorative making processes.

At present he is Head of the Technology Department at Nga Puna O Waiorea Western Springs College teaching Design. From 2020-2023 he was AUT’s Technology Curriculum Specialist Lecturer for their Faculty of Education. During 2014-17 he co-established and curated Rockies ARI (now The Frog) at 454 Karangahape Rd.

The ‘Anker’ Candle Holder is a pillar candle stick holder in cast iron from Oslo-based studio Anderssen & Voll for Nedre Foss. The form is evocative of brutalist designs, or a pile of logs stacked for a bonfire. There are similarities between ‘Anker’ and tripod vessels carved from Basalt stone dating back to the bronze ages. The name ‘Anker’ is the Norwegian word for anchor, reflects its robust form and generous weight. A wonderful way to add warmth to a winter's evening, 'Anker' is available online and in store at Good Form.
