Do you know your platelets from your plasma?

This National Blood Donor Week, we’ve been all about plasma education and encouraging more people to join Aotearoa’s lifesaving gold team.

A big thank you to everyone that helped us tell some amazing stories this week! 🩸

Don’t say the Network crew never got their hands dirty for a good cause!

Recently, we partnered with to measure our carbon footprint and fund the planting of native trees.

In addition to the 140 trees we’ve funded so far, a few members of the Network team headed down to the Brookby Wildlife Habitat for CarbonInvoice’s Auckland planting day. Between our group of volunteers we managed to plant over 2,000 saplings and made a crucial contribution to the Papakura Stream Restoration Project.

Change is both inevitable and necessary, but it can also be sad – and today is without doubt a sad day for all those connected with Newshub as it prepares to air its last bulletin. While the 6pm news slot will remain in place, Newshub was always so much more than this. Its closing will undoubtedly leave a big void, but it’s one that will be rapidly filled - just in a very different way. Today’s not the day for looking forward though, rather one for looking back and reflecting on how its team has made such a  positive contribution to New Zealand’s media. Here are just a few of our own personal recent memories of working with them …

We’re not quite sure which came first, the firm or the film, but when we found out that Network was showing at the around the corner, we knew we had the perfect excuse for an early finish!

A darkly funny tale of manipulation, false prophets and the power of TV, scarily it still resonates half a century on!

Big congrats to one of our junior PR consultants, Zoe, who graduated this week from Massey University with a Bachelor of Communications!

Zoe’s a bit of a world wanderer, having started her studies in Melbourne, transferring to Massey in 2021 and travelling to the UK’s Exeter University for an exchange program in 2023, before ending back in NZ to work with us.

Zoe’s PR major and Spanish minor make her a fabulous asset to our team.

Congratulations Zoe!

Yesterday we woke up bright and early to toast the success of the 2024 New World Beer & Cider Awards on AM 🍻

Chair of Judges Michael Donaldson was joined by Pete Gillespie of Garage Project to say cheers to the winning beers and ciders from all around Aotearoa, including Garage Project’s bold and delicious Pickle Beer. (Yep, Pickle Beer – just trust the judges, it’s goooood 😉)

With winners like this, it’s no wonder this year’s Top 30 has been called a “flavour explosion” – there is a winning brew for every taste. Check out your local New World for the full selection.

And here’s to the team at AM for hosting us one last time to celebrate great Kiwi brewers, cidermakers and winemakers!
