Granite crazy paving creates a natural transition between planting and pedestrian movement, while hand-carved basalt tree surrounds introduce sculptural seating and frames for public art.

Featured nearby are The Lady (Wāhine) by carver Arekatera (Katz) Maihi and artist Beronia Scott, alongside The Eel (Horotiu) by sculptor Chris Bailey and artist Sally Smith, unveiled recently as part of the Te Hā Noa transformation of Victoria Street into a linear park.

Organic stone forms emerge from the landscape as sculptural platforms, introducing permanence, texture, and function to the public realm.

Specified with confidence for streetscapes and public infrastructure for over 30 years.

Honed into: Avon River Precinct, Christchurch

Shaped by the Christchurch earthquake recovery, the Avon River Precinct is one of New Zealand's most meaningful civic landscape renewals.

Completed between 2015–2020, the project incorporated more than 20,000m² of granite and basalt paving, cobbles, kerbs, and bespoke stone furniture, demanding meticulous material selection, technical coordination, and uncompromising quality.

A benchmark in civic specification, it demonstrates the enduring performance of natural stone in high-use public environments - creating a resilient public realm that will serve Christchurch for generations to come.
