Some before and after’s from today’s pantry project for a wonderful local client 💕 By thinking carefully about the use of space, using the right product and planning ahead this awesome little pantry transformed into something abit special. Accessing deep spaces for back stock and bringing the most used items forward into clear containers will make using this little beauty a whole easier. Let’s talk Tupperware drawer tips- we all have one of these and they are a tough one to keep organised. Here are my tips👇🏽

-Declutter regularly. If you are missing lids or bottoms, get rid of it. Tupperware is like missing socks in a washing machine, they are not coming back!

-Contain your lids, ideally in least three sections.

-Organise your lids by size so it’s easy to see exactly what you have and what belongs to what.

-Think carefully about how much Tupperware you need for your family. If it doesn’t fit in the space you have allocated for it, it’s time to declutter.

Let’s talk simplicity. When we own less, we have less things we need to find homes for. In busy spaces like entrances and hall ways, less is more. Taking away opportunities for clutter to form and ensuring you have simple, thoughtful orangisation creates practical but also beautiful , welcoming spaces. This is the entrance in my home. I thought long and hard about what I needed the space to do- I wanted a place where on busy school days, bags and book bags could be placed (avoiding them coming into my kitchen or landing on the floor) and an easy solution for shoes for all ages. I also wanted to create a place where friends and family could find a place for their things when they visit. Nothing makes me happier than seeing jackets hung, little people on the bench seat taking their shoes off and bags rested- it means my house is full 💕.
Through removing any “extra” and providing simple solutions like hooks and baskets, it makes for one beautiful and workable space, adds to the overall flow of our home (who knew organisation could do so much)😉 and invites people in.

On Friday I had the pleasure of doing a Listing Edit for a lovely couple in Orewa Beach. After living in their new space for a few days they made the decision rather than to store the items to donate them.
