FREE TO GOOD HOME - SPOONMULE
It's been a good run but space is at a premium and it's time to pass this device onto someone who can utilise it more than I. This photo shows it how it looked immediately after construction so it is a bit more weathered now but still fully functional. Must be picked up from Nelson, New Zealand or could possibly be delivered within Te Tau Ihu region.

I harvested this silver birch. I carved this spoon. I made the stain that turned the wood darker. I harvested the harakeke that I plaited into cord and I carved the bead that goes on the cord. I did it alone, but not without the help of many people I've never met.

Lockdown spoontula in blackened plum. I'm loving the iron oxide stain. I made it from steel wool and white vinegar. Left it steeping for about a week then strained it through and old cloth. What's your favourite finish?

Exciting project in the works!🤗🤗🤗
I love supporting people doing exciting things. Motivation can be hard, but when you get involved in the bigger picture it's like a snowball, the excitement builds as everybody's dreams coalesce👍👍👍

I started this ladle a few years ago and abandoned it when cracks appeared, but the bro has been hassling me for a ladle so I glued up the worst crack and finished it off.
Carved from a tītoki crook and stained with home made walnut skin stain. Finished off with a little chip carving and a coating of linseed oil👌
If anyone offers you tītoki to carve - don't do it! Horrible stringy stuff that is prone to tear outs!
