Unplanned outage - update 0900

Our Wedderburn site has gone offline unexpectedly early this morning.

Expected resolution 2:00 pm

We are doing a major upgrade at our Kokonga tower.

Customers connected to this site will experience an outage for about an hour.

Upgraded Phone Systems

To enhance our communication channels, we’re upgrading our phone systems leading into the holiday break. While these changes are underway, there may be interruptions to our 0508 number.

To ensure uninterrupted support, we’ve set up a temporary number:
0800 437 003
Please use this number between Saturday, 21st December, and Tuesday, 24th December to reach us.

As we approach the holiday season, we want to let you know about our operating hours.

While our office will be closed from 3 pm, Friday, 20th December 2024, until Monday, 6th January 2025, we will still have On Call Support available during the times listed below.

The tower at Moutere has dropped offline for some reason, Anthony is heading up tonight to see whats going on. We'll keep you posted
EDIT: Sorry folks, we aren't going to be able to get up tonight, it'll be tomorrow unfortunately
12/10 - sorry team, we've been let down by a charger that's dead "out of the box" - theres a temporary charger on it now thats barely big enough but all we could get at short notice. Its slowly putting charge in but could be a while before it gets enough to start the site back up. Heading back up tomorrow with some spare batteries, and a known good charger.

**RESOLVED** Our Moutere tower is currently offline.

As the track is impassable with the recent weather, our team will be taking a helicopter up tomorrow with the replacement gear we need to fix it - and we will get you back online as soon as possible.

**UPDATE: all Moutere connections should now be operating as normal. If you are experiencing connectivity issues, please call us on 0508 975 377**

We hate it when things go wrong!!

The issue this morning has been traced to a fault with equipment that connects our network to the outside world.

We have completed repairs on this and it is now doing what it should.
We will be working on replacing this with new equipment as a priority.

We have made some changes in the exchange in Invercargill, and replaced a piece of equipment that was misbehaving. If your internet is still down, please get in touch!

Our network has had some major interruptions this morning. This has affected data and phones meaning people trying to reach our office number cannot get through.

Our team are working to find and resolve what has caused these issues.

Good morning folks - the gloomy weather has got to the batteries at our Patearoa site, so there is unfortunately no internet this morning for those in the Patearoa/ Styx area. The landowner is doing us a big favour and starting the generator for us - so we hope to have you all back on ASAP - thanks for your patience

Hi folks - there is a problem at Evans Flat that is causing slow/no internet. We have a tech going up into the clouds at the Blue Mountain tower to replace a radio, and there is also a bit of work to be done at the tower itself. We hope to have you all back to normal this afternoon.
