Decor NATion - Beautiful prints inspired by nature This could be a collection of hand painted botanicals decorating your walls.

Hello, I'm Nat, the maker behind Decor NATion

Decor NATion is a beautiful collection of prints inspired by nature.

I believe in sustainable designer decor that doesn't cost the Earth!

I make art & pottery for people who appreciate simple designs, using neutral colours, with a subject matter that helps create a grounding connection to nature within your home.

Besides being aesthetically beau

I didn’t expect a dusty old painting to hit me like this…🥹

When I was a teenager, I was chosen (along with other Wairarapa students) to create artwork for the new Masterton Hospital.

I poured everything into that piece.

It was inspired by surrealism, fragments, layers, meaning within meaning. The new hospital building, the Tararua ranges, old nurses, specific flowers.

It hung there for years… until one day it didn’t.

Fast forward and my dad ends up in hospital and notices it’s gone.
And in true Boomer Dad fashion… he refuses to let it go 😂
After some very persistent harrasment of the staff (he’d call it ‘investigating’), they found it.

Tucked away in storage. Forgotten.

I finally opened it again recently… and it honestly stopped me. Not just because of the art…But because it reminded me where I started.

👩‍🌾 The small-town girl.
🎨 The early creativity.
💚 The roots that shaped everything I create now.

It’s so easy to move forward and forget those pieces of you.
But they matter more than you think.

A little reminder to stay connected to your roots 💛

Wait… what if you’re not behind at all… you’re just doing it your way?

I made my own market signage from scratch. Not because it’s the fastest option, but because it feels right.

Designing it, tweaking layouts, crafting it from left over materials… it’s slower, messier, and definitely not the “perfect” polished version you see in a shop.
But it’s mine. Made with my hands. In a moment where I could switch off from technology and think about my little business and what it means to me.

And this audio hit me hard while I was making it…
success isn’t about how it looks to everyone else, it’s about actually liking what you’re building while you’re building it.

As a NZ artist creating botanical wall art and birth flower prints, I’m constantly choosing between what’s “efficient” and what feels meaningful.
And honestly? The meaningful always wins.

Because the same care that goes into my signage…
is the same care that goes into every personalised gift idea I create, pieces that are meant to feel special in someone’s home, not just fill a space.

Save this for the days you feel “behind” 🤍 or share it with someone who needs the reminder

And if you’re coming to the market, come say hi 👋🏽 I’ll be the one with the handmade signs ✨

POV: You’ve just finished a full day at work… and instead of resting, you’re packing your car at 9:30pm for a craft market tomorrow.

The audio says “this isn’t a hobby… it consumes my life” and honestly… some days it really does.

Because the reality of building something of your own is that it often happens after the 9–5.
When you’re tired.
When the couch looks tempting.
When it would be easier to say “maybe another time.”

But if you’ve spent the whole day showing up for everyone else… sometimes the most important thing you can do is still show up for yourself too.

Decor Nation started with me painting plants at my kitchen table. Now those late nights turn into early craft market mornings where I get to share my botanical wall art and birth flower prints with people looking for meaningful home decor or a thoughtful personalised gift idea.

Not every step is glamorous.
Sometimes it’s just packing boxes in the dark and trusting it will be worth it.

But sticking with the thing you care about, even when you’re tired, is how you show yourself you give a damn too.
