Incredible Conservation Work at Pūkaha! 🌿
Pūkaha National Wildlife Centre is doing amazing mahi to protect and restore Aotearoa’s unique wildlife. Recently, three Kākāriki chicks were released into the wild, and the heartwarming moment when they connected with other Kākāriki in the trees shows just how important their conservation efforts are.

It’s awesome to see businesses like Ohnyx IT Solutions partnering with Pūkaha to support this vital work. If you’re looking for a meaningful and family-friendly experience, Pūkaha is well worth a visit!

Our first kākāriki release of the season brought so much joy and a sense of achievement! It was heartwarming to see kākāriki released last season welcome these three new manu, taking them under their wings as they entered the Pūkaha ngahere. 🌿 Since the beginning of our kākāriki project, we’ve released over 100 Yellow-Crowned Kākāriki into the Pūkaha ngahere, thanks to the support of incredible breeding centres from across the motu. 💛 A special thanks to our partners at Ohnyx It Solutions Ltd for joining us on this release. Reflections from the NZQBA Auckland Bookkeeping Conference!

I had such an energising day at the NZQBA Auckland Bookkeeping Conference, and I’m still buzzing with new ideas! With 179 delegates in attendance, it was a fantastic opportunity to learn, network, and explore the latest tools and trends shaping our industry.
The conference covered everything from cutting-edge tech to efficiency strategies that can streamline our work. It’s exciting to see how rapidly the industry is evolving, and how we, as bookkeepers, can harness these changes to better serve our clients.

What truly stood out, though, was the opportunity to connect with fellow bookkeepers from across New Zealand. From Auckland locals to attendees from the South Island, it was inspiring to share experiences and ideas. The variety of approaches within our profession is vast, and there’s so much we can learn from each other.

One key takeaway for me? The importance of self-care. It’s easy to get caught up in client work, but this conference reminded me that looking after ourselves is just as crucial to doing our best work.

And as for marketing? Forget the flashy billboards! Building authentic relationships and engaging in meaningful conversations is where the real value lies.

I left the event feeling motivated and ready to implement fresh ideas into my work. If you ever get the chance to attend a professional development event like this, I can’t recommend it enough. The insights, connections, and inspiration are invaluable!
