Plot twist. 👀

We have a small change to our speaker lineup to share — and we promise, you're going to want to hear who's joining us.

Due to a last minute flight changes, Melissa Clark-Reynolds won't be able to make it to Carterton on 2 July. We'll miss her — but if there's one thing this Summit is all about, it's creating your future. And sometimes that means embracing the unexpected.

So allow us to introduce someone we are genuinely thrilled to welcome to the stage. 👇
Meet Nicole Retter — the visionary entrepreneur behind PAM (Personal Admin Manager), a groundbreaking app revolutionising the lives of working parents.

Nicole identified a gap that so many of us know all too well — the invisible load of juggling work, family, and home life. The endless to-do lists. The mental juggling act. The feeling that someone needs to hold it all together.

Her answer? PAM. An app designed to streamline and share the responsibilities of being a working parent — so you can spend less time managing life and more time living it.

Real challenge. Real solution. Real impact. Nicole's story is exactly what Create Your Future is all about — and we cannot wait for you to hear it. 🙌

⚡ Standard tickets are now on sale at $195 + GST — and they are almost gone. Don't miss out!

Amalgamation information update:

We have now received the benchmarking report we jointly commissioned with Masterton District Council and South Wairarapa District Council. It’s a preliminary assessment of whether we could operate together as a single unitary authority.

View this directly here: https://shorturl.at/2oe0G

We’re sharing it with you now, ahead of our public meeting schedule, so you have time to have a look through the information we have to hand.

🟡 From Monday 15 June, we’ll open our survey so you can share your views.

🟡 On Monday 22 June, we’ll hold our first community information session at 6.30pm at Wairarapa Events Centre

🟡 On Tuesday 23 June, we'll hold a second community information session from 6.30pm at Gladstone Inn.

🟡 From Monday 22 to Wednesday 24 June, we’ll have an information display at the Wairarapa Events Centre, with staff available to help you explore information, complete the survey, and answer questions.

🟡 On Wednesday 24 June we'll host a drop-in session with Councillors and staff
in our Wairarapa Events Centre foyer, from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

This report has been completed in a short timeframe using mostly publicly available data, with limited input from other councils. The authors are clear that there are limitations to the analysis, and that it is an early assessment rather than a full business case.

We expect more information will come to hand over time, and we’ll continue to share updates as we learn more.

It’s important to note that while councils may form a preferred option, whether that’s a Wairarapa unitary council or joining a wider Wellington structure, the final decision will sit with the Government.

We look forward to seeing you at our information sessions and hearing your views.

What’s in a (new) logo?
Quite a lot, as it turns out.

The new Go Carterton logo is a simple but bold reflection of connection, movement, and local pride – something that represents both who we are and where we’re heading as a business community.

The flowing “Go” is drawn as one continuous shape, symbolising how our businesses are connected and
stronger when we work together.
It’s a small detail, but one that speaks to the heart of what Go Carterton is about.

The logo is also part of a bigger shift.
We haven’t always been great at explaining what Go Carterton is here to do.
Over the past year, we’ve taken a step back to better define our purpose, how we support our members and contribute to a thriving, vibrant Carterton.

That’s meant focusing on being more visible, more relevant, and more useful, supporting local businesses in practical ways, while helping build a connected town centre.

The forward-leaning “Go” reflects that momentum – a group that’s learning, adapting, and moving ahead together, with pride in our town and confidence in what’s next.
