Nobody wanted to be outside yesterday for PE in the bitter winter weather. Thankfully, we have our inside 'gym' to utilise in those moments. Room 16 had a ball learning about all of the equipment and working through circuits.

39 of our ākonga ventured a few 100 metres down the road to Solway Showgrounds to represent MIS at the Wairarapa cross country champs.
It was a bitterly cold, wet, windy and sometimes sunny day for yesterday's event. It was a true cross country day!!
We started walking the course but halfway through the wind and rain came sweeping through so we decided to retreat back up into the grandstand and keep dry.
We had some great results and every runner gave 110% effort

This year, Stuff and Water Safety New Zealand are running a "Life Saving" campaign to fund essential survival-oriented water safety lessons.
We have had 16 students engaged in these lessons over the past 8 weeks and for some of them, it truly has been life changing!
Thank you to these organisations for the opportunity for our students.
