It’s been awhile !

We are still chugging along in the Wellington region

Timmy is closing in his extension in Korokoro after a tricky roof setup

Nathan is bouncing his way around a few little jobs as the owner on his deck rebuild decides how to proceed with renewed drainage

Anthony is sneaking in a wee shop fitout in town while owners take a breath on his big renovation and make some design descriptions.
He also nailed a flood damage insurance job in Island Bay 👌👍

Wayno is recovering from an op, but Duane is keeping an eye on the joiners at our Tua Tahi transitional housing office space , can’t wait to send finished photos !

Hayden has just completed a full reclad of a house for some awesome clients in the hutt
And has just started on a full strip out and small extension also in the hutt .

Adam has stopped uncovering rot and is in the process of completing a Reno in Kaori

And finally George , has mostly completed retrofit thermally broken aluminium into existing timber surrounds , waiting for some more joinery to come, so he has scooted to a previous clients home and is redo her bathroom.

One of the directors is trying his hand at machine olive harvesting, tomorrow begins a 2 week harvest at Kapiti olives 🫒.
Before heading over to his own grove to pick that.

So here’s a few photos taken by him .

Sometimes a nice wee upgrade to for some
great clients becomes a not so straightforward rot repair .!
Adam and Lawrence have framed up a sweet wee bathroom addition to a master bedroom.
But in the process discovered some fairly substantial water ingress issues.

Fixing this involves removing the existing cladding , repairing/replacing rotten framing , removing and reinstalling windows with proper flashings installed . And then putting fresh building wrap and new weatherboard with the correct jointing method!

We are experienced at rectifying this common Wellington issue! But feel for the owners who were unaware!

Looking forward to seeing the new bathroom take shape as the painters get in to add their touch to the outside.

And another major renovation kicks off! Ants and Thomas are ripping into rebuilding this beautiful old home and giving it a new lease on life. With architects Wright and Gray https://www.wrightgray.co.nz/.

These guys are great, and we currently have three jobs we are working on with them. If you need an architect in Wellington, give them a call. 📞

We are looking forward to delivering a high-spec, high-quality home for our clients. Watch this one progress over the next six months or so.

Great progress at Tua Tahi fit out. Awesome to finally get stuck into this new office space and laundry .

As we knock off for a few weeks
The lads have been pushing hard right till the end today .
Wrap came off on one job, so as the clients move back in over Christmas, they atleast will have natural light. And also a sweet view out into Wellington Harbour.

We also do a little bit of school work. Adam had an extra set of hands this week from Wayno to push this classroom refurbishment along.

The other sites all are at various stages of progress.
But from the 16 of us at DRD , have a great Christmas break , and we are all looking forward to an improved 2026

Oh and heres a picture of my project car. Bit of nostalgia to my childhood and helping Dad with his car.

They also reclined the garage with ply and built a wee bathroom for the clients parents .
Some people don’t like the vertical louvres. But I think they break up the weather board cladding nicely .
