At about 5am today (27/02/25) some extremely lovely person broke into our boat shed and stole our quad bike that TS Tamatoa Navy Cadets and ourselves use to get the kayaks and boats on and off the beach each week.

Quad is a blue 2002 Yamaha grizzly yfm660

It last seen heading across lions park and up Waione St.

If anyone knows anything or has any footage please either get in contact with us or the police.

On Thursday 28th August the Lower Hutt Memorial RSA made a donation of $5000 to the Te Omanga Hospice. The donation will be used to purchase new syringe drivers for their patients. Syringe drivers determine amounts of medication infused into a patient on an ongoing basis and cost approx $2500 each.
The formal handing over of the cheque was done by Chairman of the LHRSA Trust Dennis Davidson (pictured) and Vice President of the LHMRSA Campbell Sutherland to Biddy Harford CEO of Te Omanga Hospice. Biddy can be seen holding a syringe driver in the photo.
