MEASLES ALERT: We have been notified of a case of measles in a passenger travelling between Auckland to Wellington. The person did not know they had measles at the time.
Details:
• Jetstar flight JQ267; Auckland to Wellington; Friday 30 August, departing at 6.30pm
• Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa (31 August between 11am and 1pm)
• Jetstar flight JQ258; Wellington to Auckland; Sunday 1 September, departing at 1.30pm
Anyone who was at the same locations around the same time as the case, and is not immunised should watch out for measles symptoms including: a high fever, runny nose, cough and sore red eyes.
If you were on the flight and are unsure whether you’re immune to measles, talk to your doctor or call Healthline on 0800 611 116 for advice.
