Got a bike you no longer need? Don’t leave it in the stream (bikes have feelings too) bring it to Free Ride and we’ll get it all fixed up and ready for a new home and new adventures. Together we are building a community of riders. Our mechanic Ross fished this one out of the stream on Saturday morning.

Kia ora members. In August we worked with our board to come up with a pricing structure that clearly shows our values and how we make decisions about who pays and how much. We've gone with three teirs, from people with the most need, to people outside of the Hutt. In the future we'll be able to give you much more specfic info on the costs of parts and services, something we are working towards. In general, we work with our members to be affordable. Please just talk to us if you have any questions.

Bikes | Free Ride | Lower Hutt A member based programme to break the barriers to cycling. Our programmes include free bikes to giveaway, mechanic workshops, group rides, free service and safety gear.

We are very excited to announce a series of events we will be bringing to parks in Lower Hutt. The Block Party is a series of events we will be running in September and October in some of our favourite local parks. We'll be bringing DJs and a soundsystem, crafts, games, kai and free bike checks and fixing as well as health checks and the opportunity to get info and enrol to vote. We have been trusted by the Electoral Commission to use our community connections to promote enrolment and voting in this years general election. The rules have changes this time, and you won't be able to enrol on election day. Check you are enroled at vote.nz and enrol or come down to one of our Block Parties and enrol.
