Today our Learning Adventures Levin whānau are wearing yellow and coming together to support Daffodil Day.

For our tamariki, today has been about understanding that we can show care and kindness in lots of different ways. We've been creating, talking, helping, sharing and filling our centre with a little extra sunshine. ☀️

Tomorrow, Friday 28 August, is Daffodil Day!

Our centre has been filling with yellow flowers, thoughtful conversations and lots of little acts of kindness as we prepare to support this special day.

We'd love our Learning Adventures Levin whānau to join us by wearing something yellow tomorrow and, if you're able, supporting our Learning Adventures Levin Daffodil Day team.

On Friday 28 August 2028, we’re dressing up for Daffodil Day! 🌼

Come along wearing yellow, green or florals — the brighter and more colourful, the better!

Let’s fill our centre with sunshine, flowers and smiles while showing our support for Daffodil Day. 🌼✨

🌟 Kaiako of the Month – Laura 🌟

A huge congratulations to our August Kaiako of the Month, Laura! 🎉

Laura is the kind of person who lights up a room. Her positivity, kindness, and genuine care for others shine through in everything she does, creating a welcoming and uplifting environment for both tamariki and kaiako alike.

Recently, Laura made the exciting transition from our Under 2s room into our 4-year-old classroom. She embraced this new challenge with enthusiasm, confidence, and her trademark positive attitude, building wonderful relationships and making a meaningful difference from day one.

Laura, thank you for the energy, encouragement, and dedication you bring to Learning Adventures Levin every single day. Your positivity is contagious, and we are so grateful to have you as part of our whānau. Congratulations—you are so deserving of this recognition!

We were so excited after Tinker Bell’s very special visit! So our tamariki had the most magical time getting creative and making their very own fairy house.

There was lots of imagination, creativity and teamwork as our tamariki designed a special little home for their fairy friend. We loved seeing their ideas come to life and hearing all the wonderful stories they created along the way.
A big thank you to Tinker Bell for bringing a little extra magic to our day!

A little sneak peek… our new menu is coming!

As part of our Healthy Heart Journey, Sharon has been working behind the scenes to refresh our menu and continue finding delicious ways to support our tamariki to grow, learn and thrive.

We’re focusing on fresh, nourishing and balanced meals, with plenty of variety and opportunities for our tamariki to explore new flavours and foods.

We’re so excited to share a little sneak peek of what’s to come!

This journey is all about creating positive, healthy relationships with food from the very beginning - making mealtimes enjoyable, social and something our tamariki can look forward to each day.

Daffodil Day is coming!

On Friday 28 August, Aotearoa will come together for Daffodil Day to support people affected by cancer and help fund cancer research and support services.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be adding a little more yellow to Learning Adventures Levin and talking with our tamariki about some very big ideas in little ways - kindness, caring for others, helping our community and showing aroha. 💛

We have also set up a Learning Adventures Levin team page for Daffodil Day, where our whānau and community can make a donation if they would like to support this important cause.
