π¨ Stolen Equipment β Assistance Needed π¨
Once again, we have been the target of theft. Over the past month, six large batteries have been stolen. Each battery weighs 47kg, making them difficult to move, so we suspect more than one person is involved.
If you come across anyone trying to sell cheap batteries, or notice someone with batteries that seem out of place, please get in touch with us. Any information could help us recover them and hold those responsible to account.
This is not just about stolen property β these batteries are critical for keeping rural communications running. Without them, some communities could lose the ability to contact emergency services in urgent situations.
Thank you for keeping an eye out and helping us protect this vital infrastructure.
Due the theft of our batteries and solar charger customers in the Ferndale Area are with out internet while we get spares to site and repair damage.

Hi All, Just an update on the issue that occurred on the 15th of July, This was a global issues caused by Cloudflare, for anyone that is interested in the technical background see this link note the dates and times are in UTC not NZ time.
Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 Incident on July 14, 2025 On July 14th, 2025, Cloudflare made a change to our service topologies that caused an outage for 1.1.1.1 on the edge, resulting in downtime for 62 minutes for customers using the 1.1.1.1 public DNS Resolver as well as intermittent degradation of service for Gateway DNS.
