Next week enrolment packs are being sent to enrolled voters so you can check your details and make sure you’re up to date ahead of the 2026 General Election. 📨 If you don’t get a pack, you’ve got some updating to do!

Tonga Language Week kicks off this Sunday 16th August - 22nd August! 🎶🌺
This year’s theme is:
Ko 'etau hiva, ko e fe'unu mahu'inga ia ki he mo'ui 'a e Tonga
Our music is a vital strand of our Tongan culture.
Music is such a beautiful and important part of Tongan culture — connecting generations, sharing stories, celebrating identity and keeping traditions alive. ❤️🇹🇴
The Tongan Youth group Invercargill and the wider Tongan community have an amazing week of celebrations planned!

Today, Aiga & Tulua had the privilege of presenting to 160 Nursing students at SIT, sharing insights into working effectively with Pacific people. 🌺
The session explored the importance of the Va – nurturing and respecting relational spaces, recognising unconscious bias, and an introduction to the Fonofale Model.
The students then had the opportunity to put their learning into practice, working in groups through case studies and considering how these learnings can be applied when supporting Pacific people and families.
We are grateful for the ongoing relationship with SIT and for the opportunity to share Pacific perspectives with our future health professionals.
We wish all the students the very best for the remainder of their studies this year. 🌺
