The final curtain has been pulled open on our season of Noises Off. So we are on the same page: “The Final Curtain” is actually the same curtain we’ve used every night of the show. It’s a common misconception that we bring in a new, clean one for each show, but that would be a little expensive. Not only that, but there’s only so many times one could fashion a velvet dress or fancy cape before it floods the market and gets a bit much, you know?

So, this final curtain is not the final in a series of curtains.

…HOWEVER it is unlikely to be the final curtain that Repertory House will ever have. This one will need replacing at some point. In which case, that will be the last time THIS curtain is used. It will be the *technical* final curtain, but might not be “The Final Curtain” for that season (it might be partway through the season.) (We’ve simply no way of predicting that, and frankly it was rude of you to ask.)

May we be serious for a moment?
From the bottom of our boxes, doors, sardines and staircases ✨ THANK YOU ✨ to everyone who has bought a ticket and therefore taken a chance on a group of amateur theatre nerds tackling something as bonkers as Noises Off.
Your support has filled our hearts and your lovely money means Rep can continue to support and promote theatre in Murihiku.

SOLD OUT night 2!
Look at all those lovely, supportive heads on top of all the seats in front of the curtains in front of the stage that’s behind the curtain!
Sorry I’ve lost my train of thought.
What were you saying?

Feels about right.
Happy season to all who celebrate!

The Executive of Repertory Invercargill would like to wish the Cast and Crew a huge "Chookas" and (please don't) "Break a Leg" (or else Georgia will be very busy) for tonight's opening night of 'Noises Off'.
Such an amazing achievement and you should all be very proud of all the time and effort you have put in to make this show a success!

There is limited Door Sales available for tonight and Saturday's performance as the season has almost SOLD OUT!! Or you can try booking online so you don't miss out. A fantastic way to end Repertory's 90th Celebratory year!
