Harvesting plenty of bok Choi and leeks out of the tunnel house, they’ve grown much faster than those trying to cope with the wind and rain outside

Cleaned out the fridge and found a sealed jar of passionfruit curd from last year 😆😆😆 made short work of it with some hot apple fritters, so delicious 😋

Doing some baking today, chocolate ginger biscuits, made with Whittakers dark chocolate, organic ingredients besides the butter and eggs our girls laid. Going to pop a few bags at the letterbox if anyone would like some. Enjoy the sun ☀️ 😋

I’ve been so flat out this weekend Indidnt get to open the parcel that arrived so promptly, until now. Wow, what a fabulous book 😍 I love books that give us the background knowledge we need to be creative with what we have on hand, what we grow and what we access to because it’s so variable and in the Deep South many ingredients are ridiculously expensive or not easily accessible and we have so much that does thrive locally but doesn’t often feature in standard recipe books. Creative days ahead 😍😍😍 thanks Kylie 🙏

Finally getting the hang of cooking ducks that aren’t tough or tasteless. Had some ducks jump a fence into my garlic patch, silly billy’s. The persimmon and orange jam that didn’t set makes a perfect sauce, skin is crispy and delicious. Saved all the fat for roasted veggies 😋
