We had a wonderful end to Term 1 … celebrating Easter ✝️♥️

⚠️There was opportunity for construction too!, with the ongoing upgrades around the church/kindergarten property … see our busy construction workers 😁

Retelling the Easter story with props such as stones, crosses & bread helps children develop their storytelling and builds vocabulary and language skills

Te Whariki ~ Exploration
Engaging in hands-on activities such as making mini hot cross buns at the play dough area, allows children to be creative and establishes links between kindergarten and home (Belonging).

Te Whariki ~ Contribution
The theme of Jesus washing his disciples feet during the Last Supper serves as a powerful example of kindness and serving others. The children loved this activity, especially after walking thru the brown ‘muddy’ paint 👣👣👣

At kindy we love celebrating Easter ~ the story of Jesus and His love for us at the cross. The fortnight before Easter was full of activities, songs, and play that gave children opportunity to learn the story in a variety of ways.

We sang along to Jesus is Alive … a new song for us this year. Hope you enjoy it too 🤗
