Last week Friday, led by Te Piringa Hapū, we planted 3 varieties of prized weaving harakeke:
Kōhunga,
Tapamangu and
Tāpoto.
A big shout out to Ben Hunt @ District Council, Alex and Caleb @ Regional Council and to local heros Susan, Jack and Tony who helped us power through the planting and mulching of 145 flax at the Shanely Road Esplanade Reserve.
If you would like to be involved in helping to keep an eye on the planting over the summer, we would appreciate any help. Or if you would like to be involved in any other projects please flick us a message and register your interest.

Got 5 minutes...... grab a coffee and have a listen to Bill Osborne from Hunt for Good. We are partnered with Hunt for Good Hawke's Bay so if you need a hand with your feral deer, give us a yell..
