Round, teardrop, or diamond is one of the most common questions we get in the shop — and it’s a good one, because shape makes a real difference.
It affects where the sweet spot sits, how forgiving the racket feels, how easily it swings, and how much power you get when you really go after the ball. For newer players especially, getting the shape right can make the game a lot easier and a lot more enjoyable.
In this blog, we’ve broken down each shape in plain English so it’s easier to work out what actually suits your game right now — not what looks coolest, and not what the pros use.
We’ve also featured three rackets from the post:
Bullpadel Indiga CTR 26 as a round option,
Babolat Counter Veron 2.6 as a teardrop option,
and Wilson Defy Pro V1 as a diamond option.
If you’re just getting started, round is usually the best place to begin. If you want an all-rounder, teardrop is where a lot of players end up. And if you’re a confident attacker who likes to finish points overhead, diamond might be where you head next.
Read the blog, then browse our round, teardrop, and diamond collections to narrow down the right fit.
If you want, I can also do a final polish pass and make these even more “Facebook ready” with line breaks, emojis kept minimal, and a stronger opening hook for each one.

There’s something about winter in Hamilton that makes a lot of sports harder to commit to. Wet courts, cold evenings, cancelled sessions, and the constant question of whether it’s even worth heading out.
That’s exactly why indoor padel comes into its own this time of year.
Our latest blog looks at why winter is actually one of the best times to get into padel — especially when you’ve got a warm, dry, fully lit indoor setup that takes the weather out of the equation completely. No guesswork, no cancellations, no muddy sidelines. You book, you show up, you play.
We also talk about why winter is often when new players get started, why the social side of the game stays strong through the colder months, and why indoor padel fits so easily into the after-work routine.
If you’ve been meaning to get on court but winter has been putting you off, this one’s worth a read.
Read the blog, then come in for a hit and see why winter padel hits different.

Pickleball paddles can look fairly similar on the wall, but once you start playing with them, they absolutely do not feel the same.
A big part of that comes down to the face material.
In this blog, we break down the difference between carbon, fibreglass, and graphite in a way that actually makes sense for everyday players. No gear snobbery, no overcomplicated language — just a clear explanation of what each material does, how it changes the feel of the paddle, and which one might suit your game best.
If you’re new to pickleball, this can save you from buying something that looks good but doesn’t actually suit how you play. And if you’ve been playing a little while and starting to think about an upgrade, it’ll help you understand what you’re paying for.
It’s the kind of information most people wish they knew before buying their first paddle.
Read the blog, then come into the shop and demo a few paddles side by side.
