I personally use a rattan basket when I am doing a little shop. It is about the same size as a normal shopping basket except I can walk straight back out of the shop with it and pop it into my car! So good!

We are so happy to see the day that Matariki is celebrated as a public holiday in Aotearoa!

Matariki is known as the Māori New Year in Te Ao Māori.
Closely connected with the maramataka (the Māori lunar calendar), the reappearance of the Matariki stars in the early morning sky brings the past year to a close and marks the beginning of the new year.

Mātauranga Māori (ancestral knowledge and wisdom) is at the heart of celebrations of the Matariki public holiday and it will be a time for people to join together as a whānau and celebrate and give thanks for the year that has been, remember your ancestors and loved ones that have passed in the last year and plan for the year coming.

It is also a great time to reset your garden.

OMOKOROA LIBRARY: Need a book tomorrow? Sorry, our books have all been packed up and are on their way to our new location in the Sports Pavilion at the Western Ave sports ground. We’ll be CLOSED MONDAY and are working super hard to get everything ready for business on Tuesday morning. Thanks to the Omokoroa Football Club for returning this morning with their muscle power and thanks also to local Goodman Fielder bread and milk contractors Dennis and Mike for their kind donation of a truck and driver for the shift.
