The Snares!

New Zealand's most northern Subantarctic Islands, located about 100km south of Stewart Island. With literally millions of birds crammed into 3.5 square kilometres, it's pretty hard to get a photo with no birdlife. Also, there are just a few penguins 😉

The Yellow-Eyed Penguin!

An endangered penguin that's endemic to New Zealand. After hours of waiting in the wind and cold, this lone fella turned up just as the sun was setting.

This is one of my all-time favourite photos taken in one of my favourite locations in New Zealand - The West Coast.

This particular image was taken early in the morning just after a storm had rolled through. It is located at an isolated spot in the middle of nowhere, just a few km's from the awesome Gentle Annie Seaside Accommodation and Camping Ground.

Sunrise over Oban

Stewart Island / Rakiura is definitely one of the more underrated places in New Zealand. Great sunrises, amazing birdlife and nice walks. Thought I'd missed the best of sunrise with this shot, glad I stuck around.

Kaka!

A very cool New Zealand parrot. Mostly found in Fiordland and on Stewart Island. I was lucky to see not one, but four hanging out among the blossoms.
