Matariki Rising Southside 2025 is done and dusted and what a night it was. Another year another celebration that reminded us just how powerful it is when community shows up shows love and shows out.
Every year we get bigger and better but the real heartbeat of this kaupapa is YOU our people. And we couldnโ€™t have done it without the incredible hands hearts and talents that brought this event to life. ๐Ÿ’›

Come hungry cause weโ€™ve got a mean mix of kai waiting for you this Friday, June 13th at Mangakootukutuku College! From Taniwha Burgers and Polynesian plates to Indian curry, pork rolls, steam hangi and more ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ›๐ŸŒญ

โœจ A lot of these stalls are run by our local whaanau, so bring some cash to tautoko our people!

๐ŸŒŸ Raranga Whetuu with Tui ๐ŸŒฟ
Come learn how to weave your very own whetuu (star) using traditional raranga techniques โœจ
๐ŸŒฟ Raranga Bracelets with the Libraries Team โ€“ Learn the art of traditional weaving and create a taonga for yourself or someone special. The Libraries team will also have their moko kit on hand, so come have a go!

Workshops run until materials run out.
All ages welcome. Nau mai, haere mai e te haapori โ€“ letโ€™s create, connect and celebrate together. ๐Ÿ’ซ
