Today I came to the realization that through weaving I have spiritual connection. That may sound strange but I have never been so connected to nature. From something beautiful I can make something amazing! And in the end it will go back to nature. No waste no harm, just beauty.

I tested my ability and tried to see how big I could make a kono! Using 2.5cm whenu I made this..
After 3 weeks of weaving and drying it's all done 😁😁. So much flax for one washing basket sized kono!
First and might be the last time I make one this big. Or someone will have to pay big $$$ for me to try again 🤣🤣🤣

Kono is a basket
I can make different sizes but the larger they are the more difficult they become! And a lot more hours needed to complete them
