Southern Reproductive owner Kylie Dorr has been named the supreme winner at the 2026 NZI Rural Women Business Awards.

Dorr, who also won the Emerging Enterprise category, was recognised for building Southern Reproductive into a nationwide reproductive services and training business, while creating employment opportunities for rural women and driving innovation in the farming sector.

🐄 We’re looking for a Production Animal Vet to join our team 🐑

Based in Gore Surrounds/West Otago, we’re a locally owned rural business working across dairy, sheep, beef, (and a bit of deer) — combining farm supplies, animal health, and vet services under one roof.

We’re a 2-vet practice growing to 3, and we’re keen to find the right person to join us. The work is mainly clinical, with a great mix across the seasons and a solid, loyal client base.

This role could suit:

✔️ A newer grad wanting hands-on experience with good mentorship and support
