Chamber Music New Zealand, in association with Te Tairāwhiti Arts Festival, presents ‘Ā mua’.

Riki Pirihi and Tina Makereti bring together kupu, taonga puoro and orchestral strings in a new work commissioned by Chamber Music New Zealand. Taking Māori futurism, whakapapa and taiao, Ā mua spirals to form connections across time.

Te Ara i Whiti

Te Tairāwhiti Art’s Festival’s flagship light exhibition Te Ara i Whiti lights up a new path at 'The Cut', Waikanae Beach - bringing together some of Aotearoa's most exciting contemporary artists and local kura to illuminate stories from the area.

An interactive visual arts experience of illuminated installations and sculptural works Te Ara i Whiti invites communities to come together, explore and connect through storytelling, shared kōrero, and engage with the artworks.
