The weather may have been a bit miserable but spirits were high at Road Relays today!
Congratulations to all teams who took part.
Our thanks go to all of our amazing volunteers; especially those stationed out in the elements. We couldn’t have done this without you.

🏃♀️🏃♂️ Welcome to Manawatū – Road Relays 2026!
This Saturday, 3 October, Halcombe and the surrounding country roads will come alive for The Ultimate Team Run – the 2026 Road Relays.
Teams will be running their way through the countryside, handing over relay batons, cheering each other on from the vans and, no doubt, looking forward to that finish-line celebration! 🙌
With both Open and Championship events, it’s set to be a fantastic day of competition, teamwork and camaraderie.
To all the runners, support crews, officials, volunteers, friends and whānau travelling to our region for the event — welcome to Manawatū-Whanganui! 💚
We hope you have a brilliant race and enjoy your time here. And while you’re in the region, make sure you grab a coffee, enjoy a meal, fill up the van and support some of our fantastic local businesses along the way.
Good luck to every team taking on the Road Relays! 🏅
The local organizing committee and the huge array of Feilding Moa club members have been working hard today (and all this week!) in prep for tomorrow’s NZ Road Relays!
We can’t wait to host you all on the beautiful countryside roads around Halcombe.
It looks like we’ll all be enjoying the full force of Manawatū spring tomorrow. Please remember to drive to the conditions and look out for each other out there.
Sleep well and we’ll see you in the morning.
