More than me and Jade thought possible was raised for our club and local the community initiatives that mean a lot to us.

Our open day introduction was a huge success, with 120+ people making a day of it! From businsses, families, sponsors & everyday people from around town that wanted to learn, get involved and see what we are about.

The best part was seeing people who had never stepped foot in a kickboxing gym come down, have a crack, and become part of something bigger than themselves.

Massive thank yu to everyone who helped make it happen. To those who showed up, donated prizes for the raffles, supported behind the scenes and to our boys for stepping up when it counted, thank you. To our partners who held everything down, watched the kids and walked from business to business to get support while we pushed this event, we appreciate you more than you know.

And finally, a huge thank you to not just our sponsors but every person who jumped in the rng. You put yourself on display, stepped out of your comfort zone, and did it for a good cause. That doesn’t go unnoticed, and it is deeply appreciated.

Our community gets stronger every time someone chooses courage over comfort.

Our official open day is locked in. Come down, listen to our live DJ, meet the team, hit some pads, and see what we’re about.

Filly Smoke is a community-built club — built for us, by us 💪🏽

This day is about opening the doors, breaking the ice, and showing people what martial arts is truly about — discipline, accountability, confidence, and belonging.

Everything on the day is koha — from the sausage sizzle and bouncy castle to haircuts, pads, and sparring.

On the day I’ll be doing 32 x 1-minute rounds, and I’m looking for sponsors for each round. We’ll be live and shouting out every business, family, or person who gets behind us.

And if you’re keen, jump in the ring with me for 1 minute and have a laugh while getting a small taste of the work that goes into this sport. If not, or you can’t make it, nominate someone else to jump in for you. No pressure, no ego — just community. It's $100 per round so DM us if you're keen to help support our kaupapa.

We’re raising funds for the club so we can keep building what we’ve started and continue creating a space for people in our community who want to grow. We’ll also be donating to Women’s Refuge and Manchester House.
