Reconnected
'Reconnected' is a about the good work that takes place at a second hand clothing store run by people with disabilities.
We have lots of duvets (single and king single) to give away at the moment. From a student hostel. Come and grab a few. We will leave them outside the shop while it is fine.
We are still open but for the next few weeks we will be opening a bit later to give Connections staff time to refill coathangers before customers come in. We have to be extra careful to try to keep the folks at Connections Centre safe. Should be up and running by 9.30am at the latest.
Sadly people, now that we have covid in Dunedin we ask that you only visit our shop if you are fully vaccinated and able to wear a mask. We need to keep Connections people safe. It won't be for long. Please respect our decision.

We are closed now until 24 January for a well earned break - even if we do say so ourselves. In the meantime have a listen to the Connections Centre christmas special radio show. All your favourite Connections folk are in amongst it doing the announcing and having a good time.
Connections Collection Clients from Connections Activities Centre play their favourite music.

This is how our little shop used to look back in the day, when it was the local post office (remember them??). Thanks to the Hub for digging this photo out.
Please note there will be no shared lunch today Thursday 16th Dec. 🥳 Photo for a memory

It's been great opening up again and seeing everyone enjoying our store. Don't forget to wear your mask when you visit Reconnected even if you are the only person there. And please if you are not already vaccinated get your vaccination. We want to keep our space safe for everyone.
We are starting to open the shop on fine days when we can keep the door and windows open. We only want FOUR people in the shop at a time, people need to SIGN IN and WEAR A MASK please. We will be checking up from time to time to make sure everything is good. We would really really like it if everyone who came to our shop was vaccinated. There are a lot of vulnerable people at Connections Centre and we want to keep them as safe as possible.
The good news is we have lots of new stuff to put out at the moment.
Vaccination Clinic
The Pacific Trust Otago (PTO) vaccination clinic is open every Saturday from 10am to 3pm at 350 South Road, Caversham. You can either book through Book my Vaccine, call 022 428 1402 and walk in.
PTO will be offering $50 vouchers to anyone who visits them to get their vaccination (via lucky dip) and you will also go into the draw to win a $1000 voucher from Noel Leeming.
PTO are happy to arrange transport to and from the Vaccination Clinic for students, if required.
Heads up the vaccine bus will be in Corstorphine on Friday from 12pm to 4pm. Watch out for it.
If you have questions about the covid vaccine spend 6 mins watching this excellent little video from Dr Kasey Tawhara https://www.facebook.com/watch?v=278747177297372
Just letting you know the Te Kaika walk in/ drive in vaccination tent in the car park beside the Ice Rink in Victoria Rd is open Wed to Sunday 9am to 4pm. Get vaccinated people, to keep us all safe. And make it safe for us to open our little shop properly again.
