Huge congratulations to our OURC athletes who have just competed their campaign with the NZ U22 team!! Fantastic racing was carried out at the 2026 Oceania U22 Teams Rowing Championships in Queensland, Australia. Our OURC representatives coming away with some well earned medals! 🌟🌟

Very proud to have not only OURC athletes but also two alumni apart of the NZ U22 coaching team!!

FURTHER UPDATE
Ferry’s back in service tonight. Trailers will make it through in time for on water racing.
Vic Uni still requesting to race on Ergs!
Happy April Fools everyone.

IMPORTANT UPDATE
Due to ferry cancellations the Otago, Canterbury and Lincoln trailers will not get to Lake Karapiro for the NZ Universities Rowing Champs.

RNZ have organised ERG racing for the South Island Universities while the North Island Unis will race on water. Average times will be taken and compared to on water results to decide overall placing and points.

Victoria University have already protested and requested to join the ERG racing.

Further updates after 12 noon today.

Otago Uni Rowing - 105 athletes - 9 coaches.
104 crews across 34 events.
There will be a livestream for Saturdays racing - check Rowing NZ.
