Thanks Bespoke Aluminium for the stunning green joinery on one of our recent projects! It looks sharp and fits well into the client's colour palette 🎨πŸͺŸ

Earlier this month, WHB had the privilege of joining our clients from the Royal Terrace Clinic, for the Commercial Projects Awards in Auckland. Back in 2024, we completed the renovation of a home on Royal Terrace, helping transform the property into a purpose-built medical facility.

We are pleased to share that Rebecca and Hannah’s project received a Silver Award, competing against medical and surgical facilities from across New Zealand, including many significantly larger and newly built developments.

What makes this achievement especially impressive is where it all began. Starting with a tired existing home and a vision for something more, Rebecca and Hannah took a leap of faith and created something truly special. To be recognised on a national stage alongside much larger projects is a testament to their determination, commitment, and belief in what they set out to achieve.

Congratulations Rebecca and Hannah, this recognition is incredibly well deserved, and you should be very proud of what you have accomplished. Thank you for allowing us to be part of the journey.

Another milestone birthday this month. Darren turns 50 today! 🎊

We are not quite sure how, but Darren is making 50 look easy, even after 13 years and plenty of projects with WHB.

Over that time Darren has become known for his eye for detail, along with the support and guidance he brings to the wider team. His contribution over the years has been hugely appreciated and we are grateful to have him as part of WHB.

Happy birthday Darren. We hope you have had a great day and enjoy celebrating with family and friends.

Happy 60th Birthday to Bill! πŸŽ‚

While the hair may be turning grey, his personality and attitude are still far from it. Whether he is on site, out meeting clients, or winding the team up around the office, Bill brings plenty of energy wherever he goes.

We hope you have had a great day Bill and thank you for everything you continue to do for the team and the business.

The sun might be shining today, but we are not being fooled. We have been doing this long enough to know winter is not far away, especially in Dunedin.

Getting this build closed in before those frosty mornings arrive has been an important milestone for the team. The Rigid Air Barrier system is now in place, the roof is on, and the aluminium joinery has been installed.

A big step forward on our St Clair project. Not long ago this was simply frames on a slab, and now the design is really starting to take shape.

It is hard to believe it has already been a year since we moved into our new premises. Time has certainly flown by, and a lot has happened over the past 12 months.

During this time, we have also celebrated some significant staff milestones. Dillon and Cheryl reached their 10 year anniversaries with the company, while Jason and Scott recently marked 5 years as part of the WHB team.

We are incredibly grateful for the hard work, loyalty, and effort our team puts into every project. Without them, we would not be where we are today. We are proud to have each of them wearing the WHB logo.

As we head into the ANZAC weekend, it is a time to pause and reflect. We remember those who have served and the sacrifices they made, and we acknowledge the lasting impact their service has had on our country and communities.

WHB will be closed over the weekend to pay our respects, returning to work on Tuesday the 28th of April.

We hope everyone has the chance to take a moment this weekend to reflect in their own way. Lest we forget.

We recently had the opportunity to support Ollie with his Crossover Basketball Tour to the Gold Coast.

Ollie was selected for the Under 16 squad and travelled to Australia earlier this month to compete against a range of strong teams. At just 13, he was one of the youngest players named in the side, which is a great achievement.

We have since heard the team performed well and returned home with a great deal of experience, along with increased confidence in their game.

Teamwork plays an important role in what we value at W Hamilton Building, and we enjoy supporting opportunities that help young people develop these skills.

We are pleased to have been able to support Ollie in reaching this milestone and representing his team on an international stage.

And the Mai Mai is complete!

This has been a great community initiative, and we are proud to have played a part in it.
It reflects our values as a company, especially when it comes to supporting projects that help remove barriers and create more inclusive opportunities for people to enjoy the outdoors.

We look forward to seeing it in use over the coming months.

Thank you to Otago Fish and Game Council for inviting us to be involved in such a rewarding project.
