The Valley Project
The Valley Project aims to raise awareness and fosters community ties in North East Valley. Our vision is an inclusive, connected and thriving community.
Our mission is to mobilise our community's strength and resources into locally led action. We are a community-led development project based in North East Valley. Initiatives run by the project include: the monthly free community newsletter, the Valley Voice; Kai Share which provides a weekly box of food to families and people in need; and our Cosy Homes programme to help create warmer, drier, heal

The New Zealand Garden Bird Survey is back from 28 June β 5 July, and taking part is easy! Spend just one hour counting the birds you see in your garden, local park, school grounds, or favourite green space and contribute to one of Aotearoa's largest citizen science projects.
To help identify the birds you spot, download the FREE Official Open VUE Guide to Dunedin Garden Birds from our website, or pick up a printed copy from the office (koha appreciated to help cover printing costs).
Need help identifying a mystery bird? We're fortunate to once again have University of Otago bird experts Phil Seddon and Yolanda van Heezik available to assist North East Valley participants. Simply email [email protected] for support.
