Flying Man is the stage name of Dunedin based, Irish-born live-looping guitarist and singer/songwriter Alan Ned Gray. Flying Man’s song-writings sit in the electroacoustic realm - playing programmed beats, live looping and layered harmonies. Haunting melodies and infectious rhythms coupled with lyrics that tell stories from snapshots in time.�

Made the photo in the local paper article about Lobofest last Monday! Had three of The Dangerous Women - Anna Bowen on fiddle, Louise on vocals, Leigham Fitzpatrick (elbow at my back) on bass and joining in were Michael Crawford on keys, Che Long on guitar, Alex Ramsay on drums, Flying Man Alan on BVs and Ed Lobo on percussion. Pretty much an unrehearsed jam on Robert Earl Keen's The Road Goes On Forever.
