Fresh Driftwood from The Hamptons range has just arrived back in stock for the first time since we sold out at Christmas. We unboxed them tonight and our lounge now smells amazing, so fresh and beautiful.

Very excited to be hosting our second ever pop-up shop this Saturday so you can stock up on candles and home fragrance for the darker autumn nights plus pick up any last minute Mother’s Day gifts. Our homes really need to be our sanctuary again 🤍 Sensory cues can help us relax and find a sense of calm amid the chaos. Lighting that candle you have sitting at home or tucked into a cupboard for a special occasion can transform your home into something special and give you a much needed break from everything that’s going on.

It’s the weekend so it must be time for ! Today is all about the exotic Sandalwood, a deep, woody scent that is a mix of floral, rich, balsamic, soft, and sweet accents.

The oil is extracted from powdered wood via steaming, with the best examples hailing from India’s Mysuru region. The telltale’s a fresh green note among the heavier timbers. 

Sandalwood’s potency sees it forming the base note of myriad fragrances, but there’s also brightness at play that other timbers simply don’t possess. As such, it can often magnify the impact of floral notes such as rose and jasmine.

Sandalwood is a feature in many of our product. Most notably, Sandalwood room spray by Lothantique and The Geranium, Cashmere and Sandalwood candle by LanternCove.

Is it a lime? An orange? No - it's a bergamot! Today is , so let's take a deeper look at this unusual looking citrus fruit. Technically an orange, but it looks more like a lime, the fragrance oil is extracted from the vibrant green skin. Native to Italy, this strongly citrus fragrance has a hint of spiciness. It's most famous for being the key ingredient in Earl Grey tea, but at The Fragrant House, you'll find it in our Fig & Bergamot candles and diffusers by Kingdom, and the Teak Handcrafted Orb with OH! fragrance.

Feel like escaping right now? I sure do! This candle is my go to when I want to feel like I’m somewhere else. It’s a beautiful floral garden made in France and the white glow of the little glass vessel is so pretty. If you could be anywhere, where would you be?

Ever wondered what neroli is and what it smells like? In our new feature we're taking a deeper look at some beloved fragrances. Neroli comes from the bitter orange tree. The fruit is not pleasant to taste but this only enhances the aroma of the flowers. The fragrance is extracted from the delicate blossoms by steam distillation to gentle release and capture the scent. The fragrance is a delightful mix of sweet floral and citrus, with a hint of the vibrant green leaves. It's found in many famous perfumes and at The Fragrant House, you can find it the African Neroli & Pine Wood in the Dispensary Range and the absolutely divine Blackberry & Bay candles and diffusers by Kingdom.
