We’re a small, experienced civil and trail construction crew working across Central Otago, Queenstown and Wānaka. Our focus is quality work, tidy finishes, and building projects we’re proud to put our name on. We’re looking for a skilled machine operator who enjoys thinking ahead, working in wonderful environments, and being part of a crew that actually backs each other.
The role
• Excavator and other plant operations on civil and trail projects
• Precision work: shaping, finishing, tight access, environmental care
• Working around the public and sensitive environments
• Reading plans, working with levels, thinking beyond the bucket
What we’re looking for
• Proven excavator experience (finishing skills matter)
• Pride in clean, accurate work
• Reliable, safety-focused, team-first attitude
• WTR essential | Class 4 a bonus

• Owner involved and on site
• Ute provided to right candidates

🚜 Machine Operators Wanted – Work on Epic Cycle Trails & Civil Projects Across Central Otago!
Are you an experienced Machine Operator who takes pride in quality work? Want to be part of a skilled, down-to-earth team working on some of the region’s most exciting cycle trails and civil projects?
We’re looking for motivated operators to join our Central Otago-based crew, working on projects across Queenstown, Wānaka, and the wider region.
What We’re Looking For:
Strong skills and experience in excavator operation – able to cut and trim to grade by eye for trail formation.
Experience operating a range of machinery: excavators (1.8–25T), loaders, rollers, graders, and trucks.
A solid work ethic, commitment to quality, and ability to work safely and efficiently in a small team environment.
Bonus Points For:
Experience in rural terrain, roading, structures, or traffic management.
