I’m working as a Community Faciltator for the Rodney Community Team - a new team funded by the Rodney Local Board - to help foster community connection, enjoyment and belonging in Mahurangi/Rodney East!
What could we make happen together in Snells Beach?
At our recent interactive community hui on May 26, Snells locals shared ideas about young people, connection, community spaces, the future of the town centre, and ways to strengthen community life.
Project ideas:
We know not everyone could be there - so if you have an idea that could help make Snells Beach an even better place to live, we'd love to hear from you.
Projects can be big or small. They might bring people together, support young people, create community spaces, improve local connections, or help strengthen neighbourhood life.

Come and hear the ideas, meet others who care about the community, and help decide where funding should go.

Just two pals having a planning day together! 📝 Including an essential pit stop at the one and only Pete and Mary’s! ☕️ Did you know that Warkworth has a fun new bit of kit - an outdoor tennis table that you can borrow the gear for from the Library?! 🏓 How good!

On tomorrow Snells Beach, we hope to see lots of you there!
This is the first of two final events as part of our project: Snells Beach Community Conversations.
26 MAY: Community Hui - We’re sharing what we’ve heard from the community during our Pop-Up Conversations. Hear what your community has been talking about and what we can make happen together for the future of Snells Beach. Come see the vision and stay for supper.

Pretty special ✨ first planting for the Te Whau wetland - get amongst it 🥰 🌱
Community planting day: Te Whau Wetland Be part of the first stage of this community restoration project by helping to plant 500 native seedlings.
