Today, the Bayview School Staff and teachers from Glenfield Primary, Manuka Primary, and some from Windy Ridge Primary are participating in a Ministry of Education Mathematics professional learning day. Today we are focusing on mathematical language, problem solving in maths and mathematical and statistical processes.

How lucky are we? Court Kings have donated 2 brand new basketball hoops and are currently installing them on our top court. Basketball is extremely popular at Bayview School and having these two new hoops is going to be fabulous for our learners.

Good afternoon team Bayview! If you are looking for an excuse to grab a tub of ice cream in the groceries this week then here it is! We are on the lookout for ice cream containers to support an upcoming Kapa Haka fundraiser. Over the next couple of weeks if you have any left over ice cream containers (cleaned), can you please send them to the school office, thank you!

Did you know that we have a student events team at Bayview school? That’s right, our events are student led! They write notices, create advertising posters, organise dances, prizes. Everything!

Today we took our year 6 student leaders to Campbell's Bay School for a Young Leaders Day. They learnt a range of leadership and communication skills while working alongside leaders from a range of schools. What a great experience for our young leaders!

Yesterday a group of our students participated in a sports day at Glenfield College. We came 1st place in touch, 2nd place in football and 3rd place in netball. All our teams showed incredible sportspersonship, resilience and perseverance.

We had an amazing group of student leaders represent our school at the ANZAC service at Glenfield War Memorial on Saturday. Our head peeps then lay a wreath on behalf of Bayview School.
