One final show - I couldn't resist it.

Featuring music from the upcoming album release by the Soft Hearted Scientists THE PHANTOM OF CANTON, an excellent cover of The Passion's 1981 hit I'm In Love With A German Film Star by Ride's Andy Bell featuring Dot Allison on vocals and Neu!'s Michael Rother on guitar, some hauntingly beautiful acid folk from Angeline Morrison and weird spectral beats from Moon Wiring Club, amongst other aural delights.

MIND DE-CODER IS GOING ON HIATUS!

Join me tomorrow night on Waiheke Radio for what promises to be the last Mind De-Coder for a while. With that in mind (see what I did there?) I'm going out with a goodie.

Expect to hear new music from the likes of the Soft Hearted Scientists, Julian Cope, Beautify Junkyards, Broadcast and Peter Daltrey, some classic cuts from The Attack, The Shiver, and The Deep (gotta love those definitive articles - I blame The Beatles), gorgeous acid folk from Magick Brother and Mystic Sister and some classic krautrock from Klaus Schulz and Faust.

As an island girds its loins to live without the show, may I just say that for the last 10 years or so it has been my pleasure to produce these little mixes of mine, and that I hope to return shortly with a sort of Unplugged version of the show.
