Hello

First time doing this detail. I used the the parapet junction from E2/AS1 (fig 12) as a reference and have my internal corner and saddle flashing chased in the retaining wall. I am not sure if it's actually build like this, so don't hesitate to leave a comment if it's usually done another way! Cheers

I remember the first time I was asked to do a building concept for a reclad, I had no ideas what plans and details I had to do. The first consent I sent, came back with heaps of RFIs (Request For Information), mostly asking more details specific to the project and not just a copy paste from the manufacturer website, which was understandable. This constant back and forth made the consent process so long, I never knew what the council might ask next. But now they have released a great guide for reclad building consent and one section show a list of common areas requiring weather tight detailing. So I decided to make all those details in 3D! And here’s # 1 and 2 “Cladding Clearance”.

I remember when I started doing details for working drawings, I didn't really know how things were actually put together during construction and when is saw 2D details, it was really hard to visualize it in 3D. So while I'm studying NZS3604 and E2, I'll reproduce the standard details, to get a better understanding of them and help anyone who want to learn more about construction. It might not always be correct, so if you think it should be done other way, don't hesitate to leave a comment! :)
Tudor Revival Style | Virtualscape During the second half the 19th century, Tudor-style architecture was revived in Great Britain. Eventually, the style made its way to the US during the last quarter of the 19th century where it was incorporated into homes across America for about 50 years, finally giving way to a streamlined, smalle…
