TMNZ
We're here to make tax payments easy, save you money and reinvest 100% of our profits for good. Need to mitigate the costs of your tax?
Tax Management NZ help our clients to:
• Reduce the interest cost on underpaid tax (usually 3% p.a. below Inland Revenue rates)
• Sell tax to get higher interest than IRD rates on tax refunds (usually over 2% p.a. above Inland Revenue rates)
• Get finance to pay forthcoming provisional tax payments at much lower rates than traditional channels – no pre-approvals required

A great day at the CA ANZ Canterbury Conference 2026, held in Ōtautahi 🙌
We spent the day talking with Canterbury businesses and accountants about a topic that's front of mind for a lot of them right now: cashflow.
With costs rising and forecasts shifting, getting more flexibility around provisional tax can make a real difference.
Our own Penny Ineson took to the stage to share how TMNZ helps businesses manage tax around their cashflow – not the other way around.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by our stand for a chat – great to be there as CA ANZ’s exclusive tax pooling partner.
And congratulations to our prize draw winner Leslie McAuley from Paul Duggan & Associates, who's off to enjoy dinner for two at Black Estate Winery!

Today's the day! With TMNZ your clients have until 19 June to settle a 2025 income tax shortfall.
If full payment isn't on the table, partial is still worth it. A partial payment through TMNZ's tax pool before the cut-off reduces their exposure to Inland Revenue interest and late payment penalties. You don't need the full amount to make a meaningful difference!
After 19 June, the option closes. So, don't miss the deadline. Link in the comments.

We were at all 13 CA ANZ Tax Roadshows this year. From Whangarei to Invercargill, one topic kept coming up in every room: income tax debt.
Two months into the government's pilot programme to use tax pools to help address tax debt, awareness is growing, but many clients still haven't acted. The window to enter a payment arrangement closes 30 September 2026. After that, Inland Revenue's standard enforcement tools are the only option.
For clients with 2023 or 2024 income tax arrears, settling through TMNZ eliminates late payment penalties entirely and can save over 30% on the interest cost compared with paying Inland Revenue directly.
In our new blog we share what we heard on the road, the questions firms are asking, where clients are getting stuck, and what to do before 30 September.

Hawke's Bay is talking tax today – and we wouldn't miss it.
As the exclusive tax pooling partner of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, TMNZ is proud to sponsor the CA ANZ Hawke's Bay Business Summit – and this morning our Chief Commercial Officer Matt Rama joined the panel for The Tax Outlook: What Business Needs to Know Now.
The conversation explored what resilient businesses are doing differently when it comes to managing tax and why cashflow and tax timing have never mattered more.
Great conversations, great region, great summit.

What was your biggest takeaway from the Budget?

Budget day is tomorrow. What happens the morning after matters just as much.
Our CEO Matt Edwards wrote this month about what Budget 2026 needs to get right for New Zealand business - deeper investment incentives, a credible digital agenda, and less compliance friction holding businesses back. The opportunity is real. The question is whether this Budget backs it.
On Friday 29 May, 10–11am, we're hosting a free Budget Review webinar the morning after the announcements land. Westpac Chief Economist Kelly Eckhold leads the analysis, joined by business leaders including Olivia Blaylock (The Icehouse) and Matt Rama (TMNZ) - hosted by business journalist Wilhelmina O'Keeffe.
No spin. Just the numbers, what they mean, and what to do next.

So we've brought you some of NZ's leading economic and business minds to help cut through the noise.
Join us the morning after the Budget drops - with Kelly Eckhold, Olivia Blaylock, Alyssa Laakmann, Matt Edwards and Matt Rama for a conversation that goes beyond the headlines and the political theatre.
Hosted by business journalist Wilhelmina O'Keeffe.
