No Time To Waste isn’t just about recycling — it’s about using carbide smarter.

SUMOCHAM helps reduce waste at the source by replacing only the drill head, not the full tool.

✔ Lower tooling costs
✔ Faster changeovers
✔ Less carbide waste

No Time To Waste isn’t just about recycling — it’s about using carbide smarter.

SUMOCHAM helps reduce waste at the source by replacing only the drill head, not the full tool.

✔ Less carbide used
✔ Lower tooling cost
✔ Faster changeovers

Then, through No Time To Waste, you can recycle your remaining carbide and turn it into Iscar Plus credit.

Use less. Waste less. Recover more.

A quick look at what we showcased at EMEX 2026.
Most automation systems need perfectly organised parts and detailed CAD models.

Not anymore

Developed in New Zealand by the team at Iscar Plus, this AI powered bin picking project can identify and handle previously unseen components while operating in highly cluttered environments.

Still in development, but already showing the potential of AI-driven robotics in manufacturing.

Carbide prices are through the roof.

So why keep replacing an entire solid carbide tool when only the cutting edge is worn?

MultiMaster lets you replace just the head, reducing carbide costs, minimising downtime, and getting you back to cutting faster.

Less carbide. Less downtime. More machining.

Myth: If it’s not broken, don’t fix it.
Truth: Not always.

Just because a process is working doesn’t mean it’s performing at its full potential.
Have you tested the upper limits of your tooling and setup? Are you achieving the recommended cutting data, or are you running conservatively because “it’s always worked”?
Modern tooling is often capable of much more than it’s given credit for.
Reviewing cutting parameters, tool selection, and application data can uncover opportunities to reduce cycle times, improve tool life, and increase productivity.
Before settling for “good enough”, it may be worth checking whether your current process is getting the most out of the tool.

Question: When was the last time you pushed a proven process to see what it was really capable of?

Myth: Engeneers are bad at speling

Truth: Maybe... But the machine doesn't care how you spell "tolerance."

Engineers and machinists might not always win spelling competitions, but they're usually focused on solving problems, improving processes, and getting parts out the door.

At the end of the day, a typo won't scrap a component, but the wrong feed, speed, or setup might.

No Time To Waste starts before recycling.

MULTIMASTER: One holder, multiple interchangeable heads, reducing cost, setup time, and tool inventory.

✔ Replace only the head
✔ Reduce tooling costs
✔ No setup time
✔ Increase flexibility on the machine

More versatility. Less cost.

Carbide prices are rising, and every used insert, drill, and carbide tool still holds value long after the job is done. Through the No Time to Waste program, workshops across New Zealand can turn spent carbide into Iscar Plus account credit instead of sending it to landfill. ♻️

Reinvest back into your operations.

No Time to Waste.
Because recyclable carbide should never end up in the bin.

Myth: Automation only works for high-volume production.

Truth: With faster programming and minimal redeployment time, automation now suits high-mix environments.

That assumption doesn’t reflect how most New Zealand workshops actually operate.
Low-to-medium batch sizes, frequent changeovers, and tight turnaround times require a different approach to automation.
Our focus at Iscar Plus is on making robotics:

• Faster to program and deploy

• Easy to use by existing teams

• Flexible enough to switch between multiple parts in a single day
Automation shouldn’t be limited to long production runs.

It should adapt to the reality of modern manufacturing, adding value without adding complexity.
