Born in 3D they can live happily in the animated world or can be carefully placed into the live-action world. And, unlike our animators, they won’t bite or need feeding.

We were thrilled to work on the latest Lotto film 'Imagine on Ice’, directed by Jamie Lawrence and produced by Claire Kelly at Eight Productions for DDB Aotearoa NZ.
Drawing on the power of imagination that comes with buying a Powerball ticket, the campaign is inspired by the fact that many people put off checking their ticket to give themselves more time to dream. Taking this one step further, the story follows a team of researchers who find a Lotto Powerball ticket while working in Antarctica. They decide to hold off checking the ticket until they return home – in six months – each trading Mallowpuffs for a share of the potential prize money. They pass the winter months on the isolated continent imagining what they would do if they won. The film finishes with a cliffhanger, leaving the audience in suspense.
Toybox was involved throughout the project, assisting with design and research in pre-production and shot consultation during the shoot through to colour grade and VFX including matte paintings and environmental effects, compositing and paintwork, finishing with a beauty pass in the colour suite.

Those Best Award judges really know their stuff! We’re thrilled to have been shortlisted for our work across 3 great projects - Comvita UMF 25+, Comvita 5+ and our installation Kei Konei Koe. Of course we didn’t do it on our own and had a little help from the beekeepers at YoungShand.. and the wonderful team Auckland War Memorial Museum.
Bold, kinetic and uncomplicated. We wanted our animation style to match Nomey's mantra of making finance easy, so we used a single line to illustrate a few key points in an engaging way.
We loved working on this project with the cool people at Objective and Nomey!
